Engagement
Plant Downtime Assessment
A two-week, on-site manufacturing operations analytics engagement that classifies stoppages on one production area and hands back charts your board can act on.
Who it is for
Plant managers and operations leads in Hong Kong who already feel changeovers, material waits, or micro-stops, and need manufacturing operations analytics evidence that finance and maintenance will accept.
Result
A shared stoppage taxonomy, a loss waterfall for the observation window, shift-to-shift comparisons, and a short list of experiments with named owners. You leave with downtime tracking language that survives the next Friday production meeting.
Scope
One production area or cell, agreed SKU family, and the shifts that run it. We observe, reconcile logs, and facilitate classification workshops. We do not reprogram PLCs, replace MES vendors, or run multi-site rollouts in this engagement.
Included
- Kick-off with production and maintenance leads
- Floor observation across agreed shifts (including one overnight if needed)
- Co-built stoppage categories in the language your crews use
- Reconciled minute-level timeline for the capture window
- Handover pack: charts, taxonomy, and action owners
- One follow-up call within fourteen days of handover
Excluded
Software licences, permanent on-site staffing, capital equipment recommendations as a sales pitch, and work outside the agreed cell boundary.
Provider and process
A named Toolkithorizon lead runs the engagement on your premises, supported by a second analyst for observation nights when required. Typical duration is three calendar weeks from kick-off to handover, with roughly ten on-floor days inside that window.
Preparation
Share existing stoppage logs or MES exports before day one, arrange visitor induction, and nominate a floor counterpart with authority to clarify planned versus unplanned stops.
Pricing basis
Fixed project fee starting from HK$48,000. Night coverage, extra lines, and interpreter support adjust the quote. A 30% deposit locks the visit window.
Next step
Request a plant visit with the cell name and shift pattern. We reply within two business days.
